Airport queue on the Mac

The Airport queue screen shows the units waiting at an airport in order. You will be able to send the first unit and fix the order by hand.

Before you start #

You need the owner, manager or dispatcher role and a connection to the server. An owner or manager makes the queue, so a dispatch zone for the airport must exist first on the Zones screen.

Steps #

1. Choose Airport queue in the sidebar, or choose Airport in the switcher at the top of the Taxi screen. The Taxi board also shows who is first in line at each queue. Airport queues on the left show how many units are waiting in each.
2. Select a queue. The First in line card names the first unit.
3. To send that unit, choose Send first unit (Command-Shift-D) and confirm.
4. To add a unit by hand, choose Add unit, pick the unit, choose At the front or At the back under Place in line, type a reason and choose Add to queue.
5. To change the order, choose Move to front or Move to back on a unit, type a reason and choose Move.
6. To take a unit out, choose Remove from queue, type a reason and choose Remove.
7. Read the list. The In line table shows when each unit joined and how: Phone position or By hand. A unit outside the zone is marked Outside the zone.
8. An owner or manager makes a queue with New airport queue: pick the Dispatch zone and name the queue. Use Queue settings to change the name, the minutes a unit may leave and keep its place, and to switch the queue on or off.

If something goes wrong #

• The confirm button stays grey: type a reason of at least 3 characters.
• Nobody is waiting: units join when their phone is inside the airport zone, or you can add one by hand.
• You see No airport queue yet: ask an owner or manager to make one.
