Towing and roadside operators
Calls, drivers, trucks and the yard in one place.
- A truck is assigned to each call and shown on the map
- Cars in the yard carry a lien clock and their paperwork
- A towed car can become a repair order for your own shop
Dispatch, repair and trips In build
Pop Street Dispatch is one suite for towing and roadside operators, repair and collision shops, and taxi and livery bases. It runs on an office computer, on your own server or hosted by the studio, and the desktop apps keep working through a network outage.
Pop Street Dispatch is in build. This page describes what it is being built to do, and we tell you where each part stands before you commit to anything.
Who it is for
Calls, drivers, trucks and the yard in one place.
Repair orders that start from the tow and end in an invoice.
Trips, drivers and bookings from your own base.
What it fixes
Towing software, shop software and estimating software each bill separately, and each holds a different part of the same job.
Your records sit on someone else's servers and leave in whatever form they allow. Dispatch keeps them on the server you choose, and they export.
Per-person pricing grows with every dispatcher and driver you add. Dispatch plans are by the number of devices.
When the internet or a vendor's servers go down, so does the dispatch board. Dispatch desktops carry on and catch up afterwards.
Follow a single breakdown through the system.
A request arrives from your website form or is typed in by the dispatcher, and the job lands on the board with its address and vehicle.
Dispatch assigns a truck automatically and shows it on the map on its way to the job.
The vehicle is checked into the yard with its lien clock running and its paperwork attached to the record.
The same record becomes a repair order for your shop.
The invoice goes to Pop Street Books, so the tow and the repair are on the ledger without re-entry.
Every desktop holds an encrypted copy of the work. Dispatch carries on without the network and syncs when it returns.
Where it runs
Dispatch Server runs on a computer in your shop and the desktops on your network connect to it. Drivers and remote staff reach it through an encrypted connection to a studio relay.
Run the same server on a Linux server you choose, as a program or a Docker image.
The studio runs the server for you and you sign in with your licence key.

Pop Street Dispatch is in build. Ask for the 14-day trial and we will tell you what you can try today and what is still coming.
On the server you choose: an office computer, your own server, or a server the studio runs for you. Everything can be exported.
Each desktop holds an encrypted copy of the work, so dispatch carries on. When the network returns the desktops sync. Any desktop can also take over as the server from its own copy.
We plan to import the exports from the towing, shop and estimating software you use today. Tell us which ones and we will say what is supported.
Plans are by the number of devices. Contact us for pricing and we will put a quote together for your business.
After the grace days the apps become read-only. You can still open your records and export them.
Tell us what you run today and we will set up a trial that fits.
