Export invoices and payments for QuickBooks Desktop or Online, a UK VAT worksheet and the taxi trip file for the licensing authority. You will be able to do each of these without leaving the Mac app.
Before you start #
You need a connection to the server. A write made while the Mac is offline is refused with a reason, because its result depends on what the server holds now.
Steps #
- Choose Exports in the sidebar.
- Pick the dates the export covers.
- Choose QuickBooks Desktop for one file, or QuickBooks Online for a set of files saved into a folder you pick. An existing file is never overwritten.
- Choose UK VAT for the worksheet, or the taxi trip file for the licensing authority.
- On an open invoice, Finalise fixes its tax. Finalising twice changes nothing.
Technical details
The UK VAT export records which invoices each file covers, so the file can be traced back to them.
If something goes wrong #
- A button is grey: check the connection chip at the top right, or your role.
- The server refuses a change: read the sentence it gives. It names the field to fix.
