Book appointments, work through a vehicle inspection and move parts between bins. You will be able to do each of these without leaving the Mac app.
Before you start #
You need a connection to the server. A write made while the Mac is offline is refused with a reason, because its result depends on what the server holds now.
Steps #
- Choose Shop desk in the sidebar.
- Appointments: pick a day, book an appointment and change its status as the day goes.
- Inspections: type the inspection number, open it and mark each item.
- Bins: move a quantity of a part from one bin to another.
Technical details
Technicians work inspections and bins; appointments are for the front desk roles, the same as the server allows.
If something goes wrong #
- A button is grey: check the connection chip at the top right, or your role.
- The server refuses a change: read the sentence it gives. It names the field to fix.
