Checked against Pop Dispatch 0.1.0

The Fleet section lists the company taxis drivers can take on a shift, and each driver's certificate number.

Before you start #

You need a connection to the server. The owner or a manager can add and change taxis and set certificate numbers; the dispatcher and advisor roles can read the lists.

Taxis #

  1. Choose Taxi, then Fleet. Each row shows the cab number, plate, make and model, seats, whether it is wheelchair accessible, its class and who is using it.
  2. Choose Add a taxi (Command-N). Give it a cab number, which must be different from every other active taxi, and the plate, make, model, colour and seats. Tick Wheelchair accessible for an accessible taxi; it always goes in the wheelchair class.
  3. To change one, select it and choose Change.
  4. To take one out of service, select it and choose Take out of service. A taxi on a shift stays until the shift ends.

Certificate numbers #

  1. Choose Drivers at the top of the section.
  2. Select a driver and choose Set certificate number. Type the number and choose Save.
  3. The number prints on the trip log and on receipts.
Technical details
  • Routes: GET/POST /taxi/vehicles, PATCH /taxi/vehicles/:id, GET /taxi/drivers, PATCH /taxi/drivers/:id/papers.
  • A second active company taxi with the same cab number is refused.

If something goes wrong #

  • "A company vehicle with that cab number exists.": pick another number.
  • Add a taxi is missing: only the owner or a manager can add taxis.
