This list is written from the rule pack data, so it always matches what the product holds. It names the 10 provinces and the 3 territories, the official sources each pack was read from and the day they were read. Every pack is from official sources and is a starting point: have it checked by someone who knows local law, and expect laws to change after the retrieval date.

Each pack has 11 slots: eight rules (notice to the owner, notice to lienholders, waiting period before a sale or disposal, storage fees, towing fees, private-property tow signs, private-property tow notice, how a sale or disposal happens) and three lists (paperwork, what a notice to the owner states, release). The Found column counts the slots an official source filled. An empty slot shows "Check with your province or territory" in the product.

Before you start #

You need the owner or manager role to choose a pack. See rule-packs-overview for how to choose one for the business and for each location.

If something goes wrong #

  • A value shows "Check with your province or territory": no official source for it was found when the pack was read. Ask the agency named in the pack or a lawyer, then record the answer in your own notice wording.
