Selling on eBay with Stallrow

What to prepare on eBay, how Stallrow creates listings, and what to do if your connection is not approved yet.

Updated Oct 25, 2026

eBay lists a product in three steps. Before the first, eBay wants a few things set up in your seller account.

Where it stands: the eBay connection is built and works in sample mode. A live connection needs eBay to approve our connection app and you to sign in and approve. Until then, you can use an upload file.

What to prepare

  1. An eBay seller account for your business, identity verified, with payouts set up.
  2. Business policies turned on. This is eBay's name for reusable shipping, payment and return rules.
  3. Three policies created: shipping, payment and returns. Their numbers go on the channel page in Stallrow.
  4. One inventory location. That is where your items ship from.
  5. A category for each shelf, chosen once with eBay's category browser.

How a listing is made

  1. Inventory item. The product details, condition, photos and quantity.
  2. Offer. The price, your three policies, your location and the category.
  3. Publish. The offer becomes a live listing. Some details that were optional earlier are needed here.

Products with sizes and colours become one listing with choices.

On the Publish screen Stallrow shows you each request, the price eBay would show and anything missing, before you send.

Good to know

  • A listing created this way cannot be edited in eBay's Seller Hub. Change it in Stallrow and publish again.
  • Turn on Out-of-Stock Control in your eBay preferences. A listing at zero quantity then stays active but hidden from search instead of ending.
  • Add a price rule on the channel page to cover eBay's fees. It is a percentage on top of your register price.

Not connected yet?

On the channel page, download the upload file in eBay's own format and upload it in eBay's seller tools. You can connect syncing later.

Common messages

  • No business policies. Opt in to business policies, then create the three.
  • Category required. Set a category on the channel page for that shelf.
  • Condition not valid for category. Change the product's condition.
  • Missing barcode, brand or part number. Add a GTIN, or a brand and model.
