Licences explained: yearly, custom, perpetual and early-adopter

The four kinds of Stallrow licence, what updates and support mean, and what a licence does and does not touch.

A licence is your right to use Stallrow. It does not have to be a monthly subscription. We offer four kinds, and we quote the one that suits your business. Contact us for pricing.

The four kinds

  • Yearly licence. You pay once a year and renew when you are ready. You receive every new release while you are covered.
  • Custom term. A term that fits you, such as a season, two years or a pilot period.
  • Perpetual licence. A one-time purchase with no end date. The software keeps working. You can add updates and support year by year.
  • Early-adopter lifetime. A limited number of founding licences for our first customers, with perpetual use on founding terms. The exact terms are in your agreement.

What updates and support mean

  • Updates are new releases of Stallrow: improvements, fixes and new connections. A yearly licence covers every release while it is active. A perpetual or lifetime licence covers releases up to an updates date shown on your Licence page. Later releases need an extension. See Updates and releases.
  • Support is our help by email while your licence covers it. Your agreement sets out what that includes. See How to ask for help.

What the licence covers

A licence names the web addresses where Stallrow may run. If you move to a new address, tell us and we will move the licence. Test copies can be listed too.

What a licence never touches

The licence never switches off your online shop, your customers' accounts, checkout or buying. Even after a licence ends, you can still sign in, take orders, ship, take payments, change stock and export your data. See When a licence ends.

Your privacy

The licence check sends only your web address, the software version and a random install number. No customer, order or product information leaves your site.

Choosing

If you are unsure, tell us how long you expect to use Stallrow and how you like to pay. We will recommend a kind in plain words before you agree to anything.
