CFDI 4.0 (Mexico)

Make the CFDI 4.0 XML before stamping, and bring the stamped file back to keep its UUID.

# CFDI 4.0 (Mexico)

Set up. Your company: RFC (in the tax number field), your fiscal regime code, and the postcode of your place of issue. Each customer: RFC and their fiscal postcode. The defaults for the product code and the use code are under company details.

Make the file. Pop Books writes the CFDI before it is sealed and stamped. The seal, certificate number and certificate are left empty because they are made with your digital seal certificate, which Pop Books never holds.

Where it goes. Upload the XML to your PAC (the authorised certification provider) or to your invoicing tool that holds your certificate. The PAC seals and stamps it and returns the stamped XML.

Bring the stamp back. On the invoice, open References, choose the stamped XML and save. Pop Books checks it is for this invoice (folio and total), then keeps the UUID with the invoice and keeps the stamped file.

Pop Books makes the file. You send it. Pop Books does not connect to any tax authority, portal or Peppol access point, and it does not file anything for you. The layout notes were last reviewed in 2026-11; confirm unusual cases with your adviser or provider before you rely on a file in a new country.
