# E-invoices and audit files
Open Reports, E-invoices & audit files. The screen has four parts.
- Country pack and company details. Pick the pack for your country. It turns on the fields you need (a Peppol address, a codice destinatario, a fiscal regime and so on) and sets the default format. Fill in your tax number and address once; every file uses them. Your company's country picks the pack for you, and you can change it.
- Send or download. Every issued invoice and credit note has a Download button. Choose a format or leave it on Default. The default is the customer's own format if you set one under Customer details, otherwise your pack's format. You can also use the E-invoice button on any issued invoice.
- Receive an e-invoice. Import a received UBL, CII or Factur-X invoice as a draft bill.
- Audit files. Make a statutory books file for a date range.
After a file is downloaded, Pop Books keeps a note of what was made, when and by whom, with a fingerprint of the file. The warnings that come with a file name anything missing, such as the customer's address.
Where the file goes depends on the format. Each format has its own article with the place to upload it.
Pop Books makes the file. You send it. Pop Books does not connect to any tax authority, portal or Peppol access point, and it does not file anything for you. The layout notes were last reviewed in 2026-11; confirm unusual cases with your adviser or provider before you rely on a file in a new country.
