Settings > Connections lists the outside services Pop Dispatch can use. Every service that needs an account of its own stays off until you connect your own account. You will be able to switch each on or off and test it.
Before you start #
- You need the owner or manager role.
- Have the account details from the service ready. The setup articles say where to find them.
Switch a connection on #
- Open Settings > Connections.
- Find the card and fill in its details. Required fields are marked.
- Select "Save details", then "Switch on". A card with missing details refuses to switch on and says so.
- Select "Test connection". The card shows the result and keeps the last result on screen.
Only one text-message service is on at a time. Switching on Telnyx switches off Twilio, and the other way round.
Keys stay private #
Keys and tokens are sealed in the server vault when you save them. The page shows "A key is saved" and never shows the key again. To replace a key, type a new one and save.
Cards #
- Email through your mail server: uses Settings > Mail. The test connects to the mail server and checks it answers.
- Web push notifications: on from the start. The test confirms the server's push key exists.
- Twilio text messages and Telnyx text messages: off until you connect your account.
Technical details
Each card is one entry in the server's connector list. Non-secret settings are stored with the card and secrets are sealed under the install's master key. The test runs on the server and records the time and result.
If something goes wrong #
- "The service did not accept the account details": retype the key and save again.
- "The service did not answer": check the server's internet connection and try again.
