Set up tax rates, webhooks, backups, API keys, the monthly statement run, the licence key, the Get running list, the Stripe signing secret and imports from one screen. You will be able to do each of these without leaving the Mac app.

Before you start #

You need a connection to the server. A write made while the Mac is offline is refused with a reason, because its result depends on what the server holds now.

Steps #

  1. Choose Admin in the sidebar and pick a tab: Tax, Webhooks, Backups, API keys, Statements, Licence, Get running, Payments or Import.
  2. On Tax, add a tax rate with its code, label, percent and dates, or choose the defaults for new invoices.
  3. On Webhooks, add an address and choose its events. The signing secret shows once, with a Copy button. Use Send test, Rotate secret, or look at deliveries and the dead letter list.
  4. On Backups, run a backup, change the schedule, and use Test restore to check an archive.
  5. On API keys, add a key and copy it when it shows. It is never shown again.
  6. On Statements, the owner turns the monthly run on, picks the day (1 to 28), who it covers and whether the statements are emailed or only prepared. The run log below lists each month with issued, skipped and emailed counts.
  7. On Branding, set the business name, the two colours (written like #1f4e8c) and a PNG or SVG logo up to 256 KB. The preview shows how they look. On Booking link, make the public link riders book from. A new link replaces the old one, so confirm first.
  8. On Import, choose a CSV file, pick what it holds, read the preview, run it, and use Undo on a batch you want to remove.
Technical details

Managers read the webhook, backup, statement schedule and Stripe settings and the owner changes them. Every change needs a connection to the server and is refused with a reason while the Mac is offline. A secret is shown only in the answer to the call that makes it, so the Mac sends those calls without an idempotency key.

If something goes wrong #

  • A button is grey: check the connection chip at the top right, or your role.
  • The server refuses a change: read the sentence it gives. It names the field to fix.
