A standing booking makes the same trip on the days you choose. Trips are made ahead of time and go out like any other booked trip.
Before you start #
You need the owner, manager, advisor or dispatcher role and a connection to the server. Changes need the server, so they wait until the Mac is online.
Steps #
- Choose Taxi, then Standing. Each row shows the booking name, the rider, the route, the days, the times and the dates. Choose a row to see its upcoming trips on the right.
- To add one, choose Add a standing booking (Command-N). Give it a name such as the rider and the purpose, the pick-up and drop-off addresses, the days of the week, the pick-up time and the first day. Turn on the return time for a trip back, and the last day to end it.
- To change one, select it and choose Edit.
- To skip a date or give one date another time, choose Change one day. Pick Skip a day or Change one day's time, pick the date, type a reason and choose the button.
- Stop booking cancels the trips no driver has taken yet. Start again makes trips for the coming days.
Technical details
- Routes:
GET/POST /taxi/standing,PATCH /taxi/standing/:id,POST /taxi/standing/:id/exceptions,GET /taxi/standing/:id/trips. - Monday is bit 0 and Sunday bit 6 in the stored day mask. The number of days ahead comes from the dispatch settings.
If something goes wrong #
- "Check these fields": the message names them; a standing booking needs a name, both addresses, at least one day and a pick-up time.
- The Change one day button is grey: the booking is stopped, or the Mac is offline.
