Licence, seats and updates
One edition with every feature, sold by seats, with a year of updates that you can renew.

Pop Books is one product with every bookkeeping feature included. There is nothing to unlock and no limit on companies or transactions. Schools, colleges and self-learners buy the same product at a discount as the Education edition. Everything in it is practice work and is marked that way. Seats
A seat is one person. That person can use the program on up to two of their own devices, Mac or Windows. If you try to use a third device on a single seat, the program tells you and gives you an Add a seat link. Your books are never touched. You can also sign the licence out on a device you no longer use.
Field users and tills (expenses-only people, phones and till devices) are counted separately from seats.
Updates
Your licence includes 12 months of updates. You can renew for another year at any time. The renewal starts from the later of today and your current end date, so nothing is lost by renewing early.
If you do not renew, nothing stops. The program keeps working for ever on the last version your plan covered. When a newer version comes out, Settings shows one calm line such as "Your update plan ended on March 3, 2027, renew to get version 2.1". Your books are never locked.
Checking your licence
The licence is checked when you sign in or open the program. Desktop apps work offline for a limited time if the licence service cannot be reached.
Older licences
Licence files from the earlier editions (Personal, Self-employed, Business, Pro Preparer and Practice) keep working and now mean Pop Books.
