A canned job is a saved set of labour, parts and other lines you add to a repair order in one step. A service package is a canned job with one fixed price.
Before you start #
- You need the owner, manager or advisor role.
- Lines that name a part by id take that part when the order is completed.
Save a canned job #
- Open Canned jobs and fees in the main menu.
- Under Save a canned job, type a name.
- For a service package, tick Service package with one fixed price and type the Package price. Leave the price blank to price each line on its own.
- Fill in each line: kind, description, quantity, price and cost. Choose Add a line for more.
- Choose Add. The job appears in the list with its price and its number of lines.
Add it to a repair order #
- Open the repair order and choose Order work.
- Under Canned jobs and packages, choose the job and choose Add to this order.
- A canned job adds its lines at their own prices. A package adds one line named Package with the fixed price, then its component lines at zero price so the technician sees the work and your costs stay on record.
- The page shows the new subtotal, tax and total. The new lines wait for the customer's approval like any other line.
Retire a job #
Choose Retire on a row. It leaves the picker on the order and Restore brings it back.
