Two small checks the desk uses while taking a call. The mail check shows which fields your label mapping finds in a dispatch email. The private-property check confirms an authorisation is complete.
Before you start #
You need the dispatcher, advisor, manager or owner role.
Steps #
- Choose Desk tools in the dispatch menu.
- Under Read a dispatch email, paste a subject and message. Write the label list with one line for each label as Label = field. Choose Read the fields. The fields found are listed. A label with no mapping stays out, so you finish it by hand.
- Under Private-property tow check, enter the person who authorised the tow and the property, and tick A photo of the signage is attached. Choose Check the authorisation.
- The page answers that the authorisation is complete, or names the first thing missing.
Technical details
- Routes:
POST /dispatch/mail/mapandPOST /dispatch/ppi. Both need the Tow group of roles. - Mail lines are read as
Label: value. Labels are matched without regard to capital letters, and the last match for a field wins. - The check has three steps in order: the signer, the property and the signage photo.
If something goes wrong #
- "Enter the name of the person who authorised the tow": the signer is required.
- "Enter the property": name the lot or address.
- "Add a photo of the signage": tick the box once the photo is attached to the record.
