Short answers about what keeps working when something stops.

Does the Mac app work without the network? #

Yes. The Mac app shows the last saved copy of every screen you opened and queues the changes you make. It sends them in order when the connection returns. See "Working offline on the Mac".

What does a driver see with no phone signal? #

The driver app opens without a signal and keeps what the driver saves, including photos, in an Outbox. Items go to the office when the signal returns, one at a time and in order. See "Working offline and the Outbox".

Can a repeated send create a duplicate? #

No. Each saved change carries its own key, so the server stores it once even when the connection drops during the send.

What happens if the office server stops? #

Phones and apps keep the work they have saved and send it when the server is back. The playbook lists the steps to bring the server back and to restore a backup if its data is damaged. See "Server down or restoring a backup".

What is safe mode? #

After repeated crashes the server starts in safe mode so you can reach your data and fix the cause. The Restored your last session bar gives unfinished work back. See "Safe mode, crashes and the Restored your last session bar".

Can a different computer take over as the server? #

Yes. A backup file and your recovery key bring the whole business back on a replacement computer. See "My computer died" and "Moving to a new computer".

How do I check that the server is healthy? #

Open the server health page. It shows whether the server runs, whether its database is sound, whether its licence is active and whether it is in safe mode. See "Server health".

Does a wrong clock on the computer cause trouble? #

The licence dates come from the licence service's signed answers, so turning the clock changes nothing in them. A wrong clock can still trigger read-only mode after a long time offline. See "Clock and offline troubleshooting".
