The Fuel screen shows one asset's fuel economy, the stretches between fills, and its fills. You will be able to read economy and record a new fill.
Before you start #
You need the owner, manager, dispatcher or advisor role. Recording a fill needs a current licence with the Fleet module.
Steps #
- Open Fleet, then Fuel. Until you pick an asset the screen says "Choose an asset to see its records."
- Pick an asset. Set "Measured by" to Distance or Engine hours.
- Read Economy. It shows L per 100 km or L per hour. "Needs more full-tank fills" shows when there is too little data. Below it, a line says how many stretches were counted and how many left out.
- Read the "Fill-to-fill stretches" table: When, Volume, Economy, Counted and Note. A stretch left out names the reason, such as "An earlier fill is missing" or "Volume too small".
- Read the Fills table: When, Volume, Cost, Fill (Full tank or Partial) and Station.
- To add a fill, complete "Record a fuel fill": Volume, Total cost, Odometer, Engine hours, "Filled to full", "I missed recording the fill before this one", "Paid by" (Company, Driver or Account) and Station. Volume is required. Select "Record a fuel fill".
Result: the fill appears in the table and economy updates.
Technical details
- Economy reads
/fleet/assets/{id}/fuel/economywith the chosen basis. Fills read/fleet/assets/{id}/fuel, up to 50 rows. - Volume shows in litres, or gallons when your distance unit is miles.
If something goes wrong #
- "Enter a number with up to two decimals.": fix the Volume.
- "Enter an amount such as 12.50, using no more decimals than the currency has.": fix the Total cost.
- Fuel costs appear in Expenses by themselves. The Fuel screen is where you record them.
