The Fleet home screen shows five counts for what needs attention across the fleet, and a list of every Fleet section. You will be able to spot overdue services and expired documents and open the right screen in one click.
Before you start #
You need the owner, manager, dispatcher or advisor role. Reading works with or without the Fleet module. Adding and editing needs a current licence with the Fleet module. Without one, a notice at the top of each Fleet screen says changes are turned off, and forms stay hidden.
Steps #
- Open Fleet from the main menu. The sub-menu across the top lists the Fleet sections you may open.
- Read the five cards: Services overdue, Services coming due, Documents expired, Documents expiring soon and Reminders sent. A dash shows while the numbers load.
- Select Open on a card. The service cards open Maintenance, the document cards open Documents and Reminders sent opens Reminders.
- Use the list under "All Fleet sections" to open any other section.
- If you are an owner or manager, find the "Fleet reminder email" box at the bottom. Type the address in "Send each new reminder to" and select Save. Leave it empty to turn reminder emails off.
Result: the cards show current counts, and each new reminder is also emailed to the address you saved.
Technical details
- The cards read the maintenance board, the document list and the reminder list. "Reminders sent" counts every reminder in the list.
- The email box reads and writes
/settings/fleetand shows only for the owner and manager roles.
If something goes wrong #
- "Fleet licence status could not be read": forms stay hidden until the status loads. Reload the page.
- "Fleet changes are turned off because this licence has no Fleet module": ask the licence owner to add Fleet. Everything stays readable and exportable.
- "Fleet changes are paused because the licence is read-only": renew the licence.
