Checked against Pop Dispatch 0.1.0

Pop Dispatch has an import profile for PRZM exports. It reads clients (as customers), accounts, yard (impound) vehicles, open invoices, history, drivers and trucks.

The column names in the PRZM profile are a best guess. We found no published export steps or column list for PRZM. Its public listings describe a client management module and a billing and invoicing module, so the profile uses those names, such as client name, client phone and amount due. Check the columns step on every file and change any choice from its list.

Before you start #

  • You need the owner or manager role.
  • The account holder asks PRZM support in writing for an export of clients, invoices and impound records, and asks which file type they send. PRZM's website is goprzm.com, and the Import data page links to it.
  • Pop Dispatch reads CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files.

Steps #

  1. Open Settings, then Import data, and choose PRZM.
  2. Import customers first, then accounts, yard, open invoices and history.
  3. For each one, choose the kind of data and the file, then check the columns.
  4. Select Check the file and read the problems with their row numbers.
  5. Select Import.
Technical details
  • Clients are matched to existing customers by client number, then phone, then email.
  • An open invoices file may name a client that has no record yet. With Add a customer when a row names one that has no record yet ticked, Pop Dispatch adds that customer from the name and phone in the row.
  • An invoice with a balance of zero is left out, because nothing is owed.
  • The invoice number, invoice date and due date are kept. No tax is added to the balance.

If something goes wrong #

  • A row has no customer. Fill in the client's name, phone or email in the file, or import customers first.
  • See Fixing import problems for every message.
