Alerts, defects, inspections, tyres, meters, costs, expenses, driver advances and pay, service done, stock and document types. You will be able to do each of these without leaving the Mac app.

Before you start #

You need a connection to the server. A write made while the Mac is offline is refused with a reason, because its result depends on what the server holds now.

Steps #

  1. Choose Fleet operations in the sidebar and pick a tab.
  2. Alerts and Defects list what needs attention. Clear a defect once it is fixed.
  3. Tyres: add tyres, fit one to a position, record readings and remove a worn one.
  4. Meters: record a reading, or correct one with a reason.
  5. Costs shows the running cost of one vehicle and its fuel economy.
  6. Expenses, Advances and Pay record money owed to or by drivers.
  7. Stock lists locations and the parts in each; receive, use or transfer parts.
  8. Document types sets the list of documents a vehicle or person must hold.
Technical details

Some tabs depend on the role: costs, advances and pay are for fleet money roles, stock is for shop roles and inspections are for people who take part in inspections.

If something goes wrong #

  • A button is grey: check the connection chip at the top right, or your role.
  • The server refuses a change: read the sentence it gives. It names the field to fix.
