Situation #
You charge more late in the evening and at weekends, and your quotes and meter fares have to follow.
What keeps working #
- Daytime trips keep the tariff's own rates.
- Flat fares and surcharges you already set carry on (see taxi-fares-and-estimates).
Steps in order #
- Write down the hours and days, and the rates that change, as your regulator allows.
- Open Taxi, then Time-of-day rates and add a window: the tariff, a name such as Night, the days and the times. A window may cross midnight (see time-of-day-rates).
- Fill in only the rates that change. Empty rates keep the tariff's own.
- Add a second window for weekends in the same way.
- Check that no two windows cover the same hour on the same day.
- Get a quote for a trip inside each window and one outside.
How to confirm it worked #
The quote inside a window reads "Name (Window)" in its tariff text and shows the window's rates. The quote outside every window shows the tariff's own rates.
Afterwards #
Review the windows when your regulator changes the rates. Switch a window off when it should rest.
