The Your business step records the details that go on invoices and customer pages. When you activated your key, the licence server sent the details you gave when you signed up: the company name, address, phone number, country, state or region and time zone, only where it has them. This step starts with those details filled in, and a note above the boxes says so. Check each box. You can change everything, here and later in Settings. A box the licence server had nothing for stays empty (or keeps the guess from your browser, as the time zone and country do), so type it yourself.
Before you start #
Have your business address, phone number, and tax region ready. If you want a logo, have it saved as a PNG or SVG file of 256 KB or less.
Steps #

- Check Business name. Change it if your customers know you by another name.
- Check the Address and the Phone, or type them if they are empty.
- Check the Country (two letters), for example US, CA, GB or IN. The Currency follows the country when it knows it.
- Check the Time zone for your shop. The licence server sends one only when your country has a single time zone, so in the United States, Canada and Australia you choose it yourself.
- Type the Currency as three letters, for example USD or INR.
- Check the Tax region: the state, province or region where you charge tax, if any. It starts as the state or region from your licence details; change it if you charge tax somewhere else.
- Optional: under Logo and colours (optional), choose Logo and pick a PNG or SVG file of 256 KB or less. Select Remove logo to take it off again.
- Optional: type the Main colour and the Accent colour as
#and six characters, for example#1f4e8c, or pick them with the colour swatch. - Select Continue to go to Owner account.
Technical details
- The licence server sends the business details once, when the key is activated (
businessin the activation answer, also inside the signed licence file). The office server keeps them with the licence state, offers them to this step throughGET /setup/licence, and replaces them when a different key is activated. Only fields with a value arrive, and the server cleans each one (trimmed, country as two letters, time zone as a zone name). What you saved on this step always wins over them on a later visit. - The name, address, phone, country, time zone, currency and tax region are saved in business settings.
- The logo and colours follow the same rules as the Branding settings. An SVG logo that holds scripts or links to other files is refused.
- Business settings can be changed later on the Business settings and Branding pages.
If something goes wrong #
- A box rejects the value you typed. Check the hint under that box. Country is two letters, currency is three letters, and a colour is
#and six characters. - The logo is refused. Choose a PNG or an SVG file of 256 KB or less. Export the logo again if needed.
- A colour looks hard to read. The page shows whether black or white text is used on it. Pick a colour with more contrast.
