The board shows one column per stage: New, Scheduled, Dispatched, On the way, On scene, Loaded and Done. You will be able to see where every call stands and move it along.
Before you start #
You need the dispatcher, advisor, manager or owner role.
Steps #
- Choose Board in the sidebar.
- Read a card: the call number, the pickup address, the vehicle and the driver. A red triangle marks a high priority call.
- Drag a card to the next column to move the call. The board only accepts the moves the call flow allows. A move the flow does not allow shows a message that names both stages.
- Double-click a card to open the call in its own window. You can keep several calls open next to the board.
- The bar at the foot shows how many drivers are available and how many trucks you have.
Moving a call offline #
When the server cannot be reached, a banner on the screen shows when this Mac saved the copy you are looking at. Changes you make wait in the queue and go to the server when the connection returns. See "Working offline on the Mac". A card with a queued move shows Pending until the server confirms it. Assigning a driver and a truck is confirmed by the server, so it shows Pending until then.
If something goes wrong #
- "A call cannot go from New to Loaded": use the steps in the call. Open the call and choose the next stage.
- A column is empty: no open call is in that stage.
