Pop Dispatch is one product. Every licence has every module: towing, repair and collision, taxi and livery, fleet, trucking, the driver app, the API and the relay. The one thing that differs between plans is the number of seats. You will be able to read your seat meter, know what counts as a seat and see who is using them.
Before you start #
- You need to be an owner or a manager to see the full list of who holds each seat.
- Anyone can create as many user accounts as they like. Accounts are free. Seats count devices.
What counts as a seat #
A seat is a device that is signed in. A desk computer, a browser tab on a laptop, the Mac app, the Windows app and a driver's phone each take one seat while they stay signed in.
- Signing in on a device takes one seat.
- Signing in again on the same device, as the same person, replaces the first sign-in and takes no second seat.
- Signing out gives the seat back at once.
- A device that nobody has used for 30 days gives its seat back on its own.
Where to see the numbers #
- Open Settings, then Licence.
- Read the line "Seats: 7 of 15 used" and the bar under it.
- Read the list under "Who is using seats". Each row shows the person, the device, the platform and when it was last used.
Owners and managers also see a small "Seats 7 of 15" tag in the header of the web console, the Mac app and the Windows app. It turns amber at 80% of the seats and red when every seat is taken.
What happens at 80% and at 100% #
- At 80% of your seats, owners and managers see a banner, and the owner gets one email.
- When every seat is taken, the banner turns red and the owner gets one more email. The next person to sign in sees a message that names who is using the seats and says how to free one or upgrade.
- Nobody already signed in is cut off. Work in progress carries on.
Technical details
- The limit is the
limitnumber in your signed licence file. The server reads it at each licence check, every 6 hours, and when an owner presses Check now. - Seats are counted per business from live sign-in tokens. Integration keys do not take a seat.
- The server reports the seat count with each licence check, so your account on thepopstreet.com shows the same number.
- Cloud businesses use the same meter and the same limits.
- API:
GET /api/v1/licence/seatslists seats for owners and managers;GET /api/v1/licencecarriesdevice_limit,devices_usedandseat_level(ok,warnorfull).
If something goes wrong #
- The number looks too high: devices that stayed signed in count until they sign out or sit idle for 30 days. Open the list and sign out the ones nobody uses. See "Free a seat".
- The number looks too low after an upgrade: press Check now. See "Add seats or upgrade".
