Short answers about moving your records to Pop Dispatch.
Can I bring my records from Towbook? #
Yes. Ask Towbook for your data, then import accounts, rates, customers, drivers, trucks, yard vehicles, open invoices and call history. See "Importing from Towbook".
Can I bring my records from Mitchell 1? #
Yes. Customers, vehicles, repair orders and invoices come over with their original numbers and dates. See "Importing from Mitchell 1".
What about PRZM? #
Clients, accounts, yard vehicles, open invoices and history import the same way. See "Importing from PRZM".
My system has no importer here. What can I do? #
Any system that exports CSV or Excel files works. Fill in a sample file for each kind of data and import it. See "Importing from a spreadsheet".
What can come over? #
Customers, vehicles, accounts and contacts, tow rates, service history, open invoices, yard and impound vehicles, drivers and trucks. See "Switching to Pop Dispatch from your old system".
How large can a file be? #
Up to 5 MB and 20,000 rows. Split a larger history into several files, for example one for each year.
What if the import finds problems? #
Every file is checked first. Each problem is listed with its row number, and nothing is added until you choose Import. See "Fixing import problems".
Can I undo an import? #
Yes, for 7 days after it ran. See "Switching to Pop Dispatch from your old system".
Should I switch off the old system at once? #
Keep it available and read-only for a while. Running both side by side for about a month makes the cut-over safe.
